Chabad of the South Shore is a Chabad House setup to serve the needs of the Jewish community on the South Shore of Staten Island.
A Chabad House is a home for all Jews, regardless of background, philosophy or level of commitment. At Chabad we are dedicated to providing an open environment for stregthening and enhancing Jewish life. Our center is a meeting place for social, educational, religious,
cultural and family events. From Shabbat Meals, Holiday Programs, Synagogue Services, Hebrew School, Release Time, one-on-one learning, women's events, and more, there's something for everyone. Men, women and children of all ages, backgrounds and levels of observance are welcome and encouraged to participate.
The center was established in the year 2006 and is directed by Rabbi Levi and Freidy Katzman.
Chabad of South shore is a branch of Chabad of Staten Island, directed by Rabbi Moshe and Chanie Katzman, the first emissaries of the Lubavitcher Rebbe to Staten Island.
