What is the Chai Club?

The Chai Club is a group of caring and involved people who want to give Chabad of the South Shore of Staten Island the gift of joyful Judaism.

Chai means life. The heart does a small thing. It pumps. We often don’t think about the things that keep us alive. But they are so very important. The Chai Club consists of individuals committed to the health and stability of Chabad.

Every month your donation will join others to create a lifestream and financial stability for Chabad.

As a member of the Chai Club, your donation, combined with everyone else’s in this special club, will allow us to continue serving and growing the community programming that is so important. Don’t worry, you can always increase or decrease the amount.

How Long is the commitment?

For as long as you'd like. Our system will charge your card monthly until you decide to increase or otherwise. Just let us know and we'll take care of it.

What if I don't want my card charged every month?

You can donate any amount at any time, we will always be grateful and your donation will fund good things. You can also setup your donation as bi-annual, or quarterly installments. Reach out to discuss possibilities.

Where does this money go towards?

Overhead. Our goal is to cover individual programs with fees and sponsorships, and to cover overhead with Chai club membership.

Doesn't Chabad have lots of money?

Each Chabad center is LOCALLY funded. We do not get any funding from Chabad HQ, and each center is individually managed and funded. We're extremely grateful for your partnership.
