PASSOVER

Passover is an eight-day festival celebrated from the 15th to the 22nd of the Hebrew month of Nissan. It commemorates the Exodus of the Israelites from slavery in Ancient Egypt. This year Passover begins on the evening of the 15th of April, and ends on the 23rd of April at nightfall.

SELL YOUR CHAMETZ!

On Passover, it is prohibited to possess chametz (leavened bread). Any chametz that is left undiposed must be sold to a non-Jew. Becuase of the intricacies of this process, a rabbi acts as an agent to both sell the chametz to the non-Jew on the morning before Passover, and also to buy it back the evening after Passover ends.

Print, sign and submit the below PDF form to Rabbi Levi Katzman no later than 11:00 AM on Thursday April 14th, 2022. Or email it to Rabbi@chabadsouthsi.org If you are unable to submit a printed form you may submit your form online by clicking the button below.
